Important Blackjack Terms

If a player wants to win in a blackjack, they need to fully study not only the rules in the game but the usual terms that are used in blackjack.

Even if the player has studied hitting and standing in blackjack, if they are not familiar with blackjack terms like hard hand and upcard, they will have a hard time in the game.

It is important to learn the basic words first before deciding to play seriously. Some of these words are Action. Action is a gaming word that is used to identify the sum of cash that the player has put down into the money pot for the game.

Next is all in. All in are all the cash and important items that the player has put down on the cash pot. An anchorman is the last player in an online game that will do their action. Bankroll refers to the sum of the wager that the player is willing to bet for the whole game.

A Burn card is the card that the dealer has received from the start of a shuffled card deck. The total value of the card may be revealed or not depending on the rules and regulations of the casino.

Bust means that a player loses in the game if they exceeded 21. A Buy-in means the sum of money that a player should pay in order to play in a game. Blackjack refers to the moment that the player achieves a total of 21 with their 2 initial pair of cards.

Call means the agreement between players to wager the same amount of money. The dealer is the casino employee that is in charge of the game. Deck is a set of cards that is usually composed of 52 cards.

Dispenser means a box where all the remaining cards are put down after dealing the first two cards. Early surrender refers to a player choice on whether they want to finish the game early or not.

If they chose to end the game early, they can still refund 50% percent of their wager. A favorable deck is a card deck that helps the player to win.

A hard hand is when the total value that is assigned to the ace card is one. Head-to-head is a game between two participants only. It is usually between a single player and the dealer.

Hit is receiving another card from the dispenser. Insurance is the side wager half the initial wager against the dealer in the game that has a natural 21. Natural is another name for blackjack aside from 21.

Paint refers to Queen, King and Jack. Push is when the blackjack dealer and the player have the same total on their cards.

A shuffle is mixing the cards. A soft hand is when the total given to the ace card is eleven. A stiff card is when a card has a total of two or six.

Toke means a favor given by the player to blackjack dealer. Unit refers to the normal wager in the game according to regulations in the game and upcard refers to the card of the dealer whose total is shown to the players in the game.
